Bronze Wall Ministries began in 2003 as a Bible Quizzing ministry designed to help youth come to know Jesus through learning verses in the New Testament. The concept of the name came from Jeremiah 15:20 in which God promises Jeremiah that if he is faithful to speak God’s word, God will make him a bronze wall to which Jeremiah’s people can turn to find truth and life. Bronze Wall had six-eight local teams for most of our first 8 years of existence, seeing over 60 different students come and compete and learn Scripture. Each year, quizzers compete for local individual and team awards, and have a chance to compete in regional and national tournaments also. In 2007 and 2008, Bronze Wall finished 10th and 7th at the Bible Quiz Fellowship National Tournaments, respectively, competing for a berth in the championship quiz all the way to the end of the tournament in 2008 as Blizzard. Bronze Wall has seen two quizzers, Josiah Huber and Elizabeth Wheeler, win all-star awards, Elizabeth finishing in 2nd place in the nation in 2010. For two years, Bronze Wall comepeted with New York ministry Family Life and finished in 12th place both years. We enjoy friendly meets and combined teams with Family Life and Teen World Ministries from East Liverpool, Ohio. We continue to compete in the National Tournament each year, hoping for a top 15 finish in 2022 as we quiz on Romans, James, and Revelation. Any student in grades 5-12 can participate and a student who quizzes all 8 years of their eligibility will get to quiz on the entire New Testament which is covered during that time. Bronze Wall is part of Bible Quiz Fellowship, a connection of quizzing Ministries across the country that puts on the yearly National tournament.
